The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring patient health, administering medications and treatments, and supporting physicians in clinical procedures. The nurse plays a vital role in ensuring safe, ethical, and high-quality care for patients in accordance with hospital protocols and medical standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with prescribed treatment and care plans.
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and manage patient vital signs.
Assist doctors during rounds, medical procedures, and emergencies.
Monitor patients' conditions, document observations, and report any changes promptly.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing records in patient files and hospital software systems.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, post-discharge care, and hygiene.
Follow infection control protocols and ensure cleanliness and patient safety at all times.
Ensure availability and proper use of medical supplies, equipment, and instruments.
Support emergency response protocols such as CPR, trauma management, or code blue.
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
