Responsible for the safe, comfortable and comprehensive nursing care of all patients under her care. xc2xb7 Carryout all new patients orientation to the ward xc2xb7 Responsible to perform all Medical and Surgical nursing procedures as per NABH requirement. xc2xb7 Ensure that Medical and Surgical check lists are completed to ensure complete and total care of the patients. xc2xb7 Maintain a safe and clean environment for the patients. xc2xb7 Coordinate patient care with various health care team members xc2xb7 Follow doctors rounds of patients assigned to you. xc2xb7 Carryout doctors orders and instructions promptly and intelligently. xc2xb7 Before administering medication to patients make sure to take the proper precautions that each medication requires in order to avoid reactions and complications for e.g. Check blood sugar before administering Insulin and keep food ready. Check B/P before administering Anti-hypertensive medication, xc2xb7 Make double checks before administering Narcotic drugs and blood transfusions. xc2xb7 Observe changes in patients condition take necessary action and report and record. xc2xb7 Responsible to impart special care and precautions to vulnerable patients. xc2xb7 Impart health education to the patients as per their diagnosis and requirement. xc2xb7 Responsible to maintain infection control practices while extending nursing care to the patients. xc2xb7 Responsible to follow waste management practices as per waste management rules and hospital policies. xc2xb7 Answer patients call bell promptly. xc2xb7 Take equipment and drug inventory on daily basis and maintain records accordingly. xc2xb7 Maintain good interpersonal relationship with nurse administrators, senior staff, juniors and students. xc2xb7 Attend In-service education programs in order to update knowledge and keep abreast of changes and trends in health and nursing care. xc2xb7 Must be well versed with computers and be familiar with the HIS Document Name: Nursing Administrative Manual Document ID: BLK/NRADMIN/DM/04 Issue No./ Revision No : 01/03 Issue Date: 01.03.2022 Standard Reference: NABH:COP JCI:AOP, COP Page No.: Page 39 of 119 Mrs..
