The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients, assisting physicians in medical procedures, and ensuring adherence to hospital protocols, patient safety, and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care including monitoring vitals, administering medications, and recording clinical observations.
Assist doctors during ward rounds, medical procedures, and emergencies.
Ensure infection control practices and maintain hygiene standards.
Prepare and maintain patient records, reports, and handover notes.
Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care of patients (for OT roles).
Provide critical care support for ICU/CCU/NICU/PICU patients when assigned.
Educate patients and attendants on treatment, post-discharge care, and health practices.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications:
GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.
Registration with State Nursing Council.
Experience:
Freshers:
Eligible for entry-level roles.
Experienced Nurses (3-5 years):
Preferred for ICU, OT, and specialty departments.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills.
Compassion, patience, and good communication with patients & families.
Ability to handle medical equipment and emergency situations.
Team collaboration and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection control, and safety standards.
