The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care, supports patient recovery, and collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality nursing services. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care strategies.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Promote health maintenance and disease prevention.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Professional Development:
Stay current with nursing best practices and advancements in healthcare.
Participate in ongoing education and training programs.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
Experience:
Previous nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
