Provide direct nursing care to patients as per clinical guidelines.
Assist patients with daily activities (hygiene, mobility, feeding, comfort).
Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration).
Administer medications as per doctor's prescription.
2. Clinical Tasks
Prepare patients for procedures, surgeries, and diagnostic tests.
Maintain IV lines, catheters, oxygen therapy, and other clinical support.
Assist doctors during rounds and procedures.
Ensure correct sample collection and labeling for lab tests.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate and timely patient records (nursing notes, charts).
Report changes in patient condition to doctors and supervisors.
Ensure proper documentation of medication administration (MAR).
Update handover reports during shift change.
4. Infection Control & Safety
Follow hospital infection control guidelines at all times.
Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and cleanliness of patient areas.
Practice safe disposal of biomedical waste.
Implement universal precautions (PPE, hand hygiene, etc.).
5. Patient & Family Communication
Educate patients and caregivers about medication, care plans, and procedures.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
Guide patient attendants regarding hospital rules and safety instructions.
6. Emergency Management
Respond quickly to medical emergencies (CPR, Code Blue situations).
Provide first-aid and life-saving interventions as required.
Inform doctors and emergency teams immediately.
7. Coordination & Teamwork
Coordinate with doctors, technicians, housekeeping, and admin teams.
Work closely with the nursing supervisor for smoother patient care.
Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
