Provide wound care, assist in procedures, and manage medical equipment.
Assessment & Observation
Conduct physical assessments and recognize signs of illness or distress.
Monitor for any adverse reactions to treatment or medication.
Record Keeping
Maintain accurate patient records (electronic and manual).
Document changes in condition, treatment, and nursing care plans.
Emergency Response
Respond to pediatric emergencies like seizures, respiratory distress, or allergic reactions.
Follow pediatric advanced life support (PALS) protocols if certified.
Family-Centered Care
Parent & Family Education
Educate parents about the child's condition, treatment, and home care instructions.
Provide emotional support and answer queries compassionately.
Involving Parents in Care
Encourage parental involvement in feeding, bathing, and comforting the child.
Guide parents on developmental milestones and vaccination schedules.
Team Collaboration
Work with Multidisciplinary Teams
Collaborate with pediatricians, dietitians, physiotherapists, and social workers.
Participate in care planning and rounds.
Report to Supervisors
Communicate patient updates and concerns to senior nurses or doctors.
