Job Description

Core responsibilities

Patient care:

Assess patient needs, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and provide direct medical assistance.

Monitoring:

Closely monitor patients' conditions, document vital signs, and report any changes or concerns.

Care planning:

Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.

Patient and family education:

Educate patients and their families on managing their illnesses, prevention techniques, and post-hospital recovery.

Record keeping:

Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.

Coordination:

Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and coordination of patient care.

Emergency response:

Participate in medical emergencies and crises when necessary.

Ward management:

Ensure the patient area is clean, well-equipped, and hygienic.

Supervision:

May supervise and provide guidance to junior staff, nursing students, and assistants.
