Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and recovery. The role includes assisting doctors during examinations and treatments, administering medications, maintaining patient records, and supporting the overall healthcare operations of the clinic or hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide

direct patient care

including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.

Assist doctors

during medical examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.

Administer medications

and injections as prescribed and monitor patient responses.

Record vital signs

(temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and maintain accurate patient documentation. Ensure

proper infection control

and sterilization of instruments and equipment. Maintain

cleanliness and hygiene

in patient care areas. Prepare and maintain

patient reports

, charts, and medical records. Provide

patient education

on medications, treatments, and post-care instructions. Respond promptly to

emergencies

and perform first aid or CPR when required. Coordinate with other healthcare staff to ensure

efficient and compassionate patient care

. Manage

inventory of medical supplies

and ensure adequate stock levels. Follow

hospital/clinic policies

, nursing protocols, and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

Diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.

Registration:

Must be a registered nurse with the State Nursing Council.

Experience:

0-3 years of experience (freshers may also apply).

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and patient-focused. Strong observation, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly.

Work Environment:

Hospital / Clinic / Eye Care Centre / Healthcare Facility. May involve shift duties, weekend, or holiday work as per schedule.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.65 per month
