Job Description

The Registered Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering patient-centered nursing care in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital protocols. The role includes assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing care, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with medical and nursing protocols. Monitor and record patients' conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other prescribed treatments. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures. Ensure patient hygiene, safety, and comfort at all times. Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely nursing documentation. Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-hospital care. Follow infection control and patient safety protocols at all times. Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate nursing care. Maintain professional ethics and confidentiality in patient care.

Eligibility / Qualifications:

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution. Must be a

Registered Nurse (RN)

with the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council. Valid nursing license to practice. Experience: [0-2+ years], depending on the department (ICU, Ward, OPD, OT, etc.)

Key Skills:

Strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills. Excellent observation and assessment ability. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Teamwork, compassion, and a caring attitude. Familiarity with hospital EMR systems and documentation. Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and under pressure.

Preferred Certifications (if applicable):

Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Infection Control Training Critical Care Nursing (for ICU roles)
