Core Responsibilities : -
Responsibilities and key tasks :

• Hand washing should be done before entering the unit
• Greet the patient and relatives
• To be accountable for patient care in the assigned area
• To uphold the nursing code of ethics and acts as a role model to other staff members
• To demonstrate skill in patient assessment, rounds, capturing and carrying out doctor's orders, documentation & equipment handling.
• To follow admission procedure, charting and reporting, record management and discharge formalities on time with accuracy
• To ensure accurate and timely medication administration
• To keep crash cart up to date after procedure
• To actively participate in programs for quality improvement in nursing practices
• To maintain aseptic atmosphere
• To follow infection control policies and biomedical waste management guidelines of the hospital
• To collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery
• To demonstrate willingness to adjust the work pattern as directed by the superiors
• To ensure timely indenting and proper stock management
• To ensure proper working conditions for all equipment's
• To maintain patient records as per hospital standards, ensuring safety and confidentiality of the records
• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices
• To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
• To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
• To comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area
• To comply with patient safety policy
• To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system
• To facilitates smooth discharge as per protocols and doctors' advice

IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Measurable Deliverables

• Medication Errors =0%
• Documentation error
• Stock handling errors (non return of expiry items on time) = 0%
• Conformance to NABH TATs as per standards laid down.
• Equipment downtime should not be more than 2% of total uptime
• Cost containment at Unit level

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in GNM/ BSc in Nursing

Experience

• Minimum 0-2 years

• Adequate knowledge of current development in nursing
• Adequate domain knowledge in proactive demonstrated skills
