Job Description

1. To handle patients of age 1 to 17 years.

2. Write the day / night reports legibly, reflecting all important factors, new admissions, critically ill patients and V.I.P. patients.

3. Setting up special procedures trays, dressing trolleys and assisting doctors.

4. Raising of various requisitions related to treatments and nursing procedures by coordinating with ward coordinator.

5. Handing and taking over of assigned patients, drugs and inventory.

6. To do pain assessment and monitoring of the patient periodically.

7. To act as per the defined roles on the activation of the emergency codes.

8. To act as per the defined roles on the activation of the code pink.

9. To execute the patient care according to patient's condition.

10. Early & timely assessment of the patient to detect any complications.

11. To take over patients at the patient's bed side and the details of the ongoing treatment from previous shift nurse properly.

12. To provide the emergency medical supplies in the ward and periodically monitor their expiry date.
