Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate
Staff Nurse with NICU experience
to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill newborns. The candidate should be proficient in neonatal care protocols, emergency handling and family communication.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in NICU as per hospital & NABH standards.
Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, and developmental parameters.
Administer medications, IV fluids, TPN, phototherapy, and other neonatal treatments.
Perform routine procedures: NG tube insertion, IV cannulation, blood sampling, ETT care, CPAP handling, etc.
Assist neonatologist during rounds, deliveries, resuscitation, and emergency situations.
Maintain strict infection control & hand hygiene protocols.
Prepare neonates for diagnostic tests (X-ray, USG, labs, etc.).
Maintain accurate nursing notes, shift handover, and electronic/paper documentation.
Provide breastfeeding support and educate parents regarding newborn care.
Ensure upkeep of NICU equipment (warmer, ventilator, CPAP, monitors, syringe pumps).
Participate in Code Blue/Code Pink and follow emergency response procedures.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for smooth workflow.
