Job Description

Providing direct patient care like administering medications and monitoring vital signs, developing and implementing care plans, and educating patients and their families about health conditions and recovery. They must also maintain accurate patient records, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and ensure a safe and clean environment. Core responsibilities

Patient care:

Administer medications, treatments, and sterile dressings. Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition. Provide personal hygiene and comfort care, and assist with feeding and mobility. Perform technical nursing procedures.

Assessment and planning:

Assess patient health status and needs. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare team members to carry out orders and provide holistic care.

Documentation and communication:

Maintain accurate and confidential patient health records and reports. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery. Report and document patient status to the healthcare team.

Patient and family education:

Educate patients and families about illnesses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Provide information on disease prevention and rehabilitation techniques.

Environment and safety:

Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Skills and qualifications

Strong communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Proficiency in administering medications and performing medical procedures. Up-to-date knowledge of nursing procedures and healthcare developments. Compassion, empathy, and patience.
