Job Description

Patient Identification and Preparation:

Verifying patient identity and preparing them for blood draws, potentially managing their anxiety or fear of needles.

Venipuncture and Capillary Puncture:

Performing venipuncture (drawing blood from a vein) and capillary puncture (drawing blood from a finger) using appropriate techniques.

Sample Handling and Labeling:

Accurately labeling blood samples with patient information and preparing them for transport to the laboratory.

Specimen Integrity:

Maintaining the integrity of collected samples by following proper handling procedures and adhering to isolation protocols.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Accurately documenting patient information, collection times, and any relevant observations.

Communication and Collaboration:

Explaining procedures to patients, answering their questions, and collaborating with nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensuring that phlebotomy equipment is properly maintained and sterilized.

Compliance and Safety:

Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines, such as those from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Specimen Transport:

Preparing and transporting blood samples to the laboratory for analysis.

Administer hearing tests:

Conduct audiometric screenings and tests, such as pure tone audiometry and speech audiometry, to assess hearing levels.

Maintain and calibrate equipment:

Ensure audiometric equipment is functioning correctly and properly calibrated for accurate testing.

Assist with patient care:

Collect preliminary patient information, prepare patients for examinations, and assist with hearing aid fitting and maintenance.

Record and manage patient data:

Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.

Provide patient education:

Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, hearing aids, and other auditory devices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

GNM degree

ANM degree

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
