Staff Nurse

Responsibilities:

Maternity hospital experience added advantage. Provide patient care according to defined care standards, policies, and procedures based on individual needs and a specific plan of care. Evaluate and organize patient care to ensure continuity based on patient needs Ensure clear and effective nurse-patient communication and patient education Collaborate with nursing units and other service area departments for patient-related and other requirements Accompany consultants/intensivists on patient care rounds Administer medication using correct procedures Ensure that patients' hygienic needs are met and that the unit is neat at all times Assist doctors in all procedures related to patient care and ensure post-IP issues and bedside procedures are handled efficiently Take responsibility for the collection of samples and sending them for investigations Document all relevant records as per hospital policy Handle all equipment in the ICU and monitor patients and patient-related emergencies Implement necessary steps to promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers Stay knowledgeable and up-to-date about facility/department infection control, environmental, and safety policies and ensure compliance
Requirements:

Nursing degree Post-qualification nursing experience Valid nursing board registration Ability to work in a multicultural team Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Commitment to continuous professional development activities Ability to maintain meticulous records
