Job Description

The Staff Nurse in a Skin and Hair Clinic is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dermatological and trichology treatments. The role involves assisting dermatologists, preparing patients for procedures, ensuring safety and infection control, and delivering exceptional patient education and support.

Key Responsibilities1. Clinical Duties

Assist dermatologists/trichologists during consultations, procedures, and minor surgeries. Perform skin analysis, hair/scalp examinations, and basic dermatology assessments as per clinic protocols. Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and instruments before procedures. Administer prescribed treatments such as chemical peels, laser therapy assistance, PRP preparation, micro-needling assistance, and wound care. Collect and handle samples for lab testing (skin scrapings, blood samples, etc.). Monitor patients during and after procedures for side effects or complications. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

2. Patient Care & Education

Guide patients through pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions. Provide counselling on skincare routines, haircare practices, and treatment plans. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and satisfaction throughout the visit. Address patient queries and escalate concerns to the dermatologist when required.

3. Infection Control & Safety

Follow strict aseptic techniques and clinic infection control policies. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in treatment areas. Safely handle lasers, chemical solutions, and other dermatology equipment. Adhere to safety standards for handling biohazard materials.

Skills & QualificationsEssential

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc Nursing). Valid nursing registration/license. Experience or strong interest in dermatology, cosmetology, or aesthetic nursing. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of basic dermatological and trichological procedures. Ability to handle clinical equipment safely.

Preferred

Prior experience in a dermatology, cosmetology, or aesthetic clinic. Certification in laser therapy, cosmetology, or skincare procedures.
