Job Description

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned ICU patients. Take detailed bedside handover and check patients for skin issues, bedsores, or line infections. Administer medications, IV fluids, and infusions as per orders, ensuring proper labeling and dosage. Monitor and record vital signs and patient parameters hourly or as required. Ensure all ICU equipment (ventilator, BiPAP, suction, DVT pumps, etc.) is clean, functional, and used safely. Follow strict infection control and hand hygiene practices at all times. Provide daily hygiene care--sponge bath, oral care, catheter care, and position change every 2 hours. Maintain accurate documentation, charts, and incident reports for all patient activities. Assist doctors during rounds and bedside procedures. Maintain professional behavior and ensure a calm, silent environment in the ICU. Ensure adequate stock of medicines, consumables, and functioning of emergency equipment. Be flexible for duty reallocation as per hospital requirements.
