Job Summary

The Staff Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to patients, supports doctors during clinical procedures, and ensures safe and smooth functioning of the ward/ICU/department as per hospital standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring vitals, administering medications, maintaining IV lines, and assisting with daily activities. Prepare patients for procedures and assist doctors during treatments, dressings, and emergencies. Maintain accurate and timely nursing notes, medication records, and reports. Follow all SOPs related to infection control, patient safety, and nursing protocols. Perform sample collection when required and ensure proper handover during shift changes. Educate patients and attendants about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and home care. Handle emergency situations promptly and escalate cases to seniors/physicians when needed. Ensure cleanliness, sterility, and proper functioning of equipment in the assigned area. Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team for smooth patient care delivery. Maintain patient rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Qualifications Required

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing. Registration with the State Nursing Council is mandatory. 0-5 years of clinical experience (freshers can also be considered depending on department).

Skills Needed

Strong clinical and patient-care skills. Good communication and empathy towards patients. Knowledge of basic life support (BLS); ACLS preferred for critical care areas. Ability to work in rotational shifts and handle high-pressure situations. Attention to detail, responsibility, and teamwork.
