Key Responsibilities

:

Provide direct nursing care to psychiatric inpatients and outpatients. Monitor patient behavior, mental status, and vital signs regularly. Administer prescribed psychiatric medications and document responses. Assist doctors and psychologists during assessments and procedures. Handle psychiatric emergencies, aggression, or suicidal ideation using de-escalation techniques. Maintain patient charts, nursing records, and ensure accurate documentation. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families as per care plan. Educate patients and caregivers about medication, therapy, and lifestyle changes. Observe and report signs of relapse, medication side effects, or behavioral changes. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers). Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and ethical environment on the ward.

Qualifications

:

Education

: Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing (Candidates with certification or experience in psychiatric nursing preferred)

Registration

: Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council

Experience

:

0-3 years of experience in psychiatric or mental health settings
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?8,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
