Key Responsibilities:Clinical Nursing Care:
Provide bedside nursing care to pediatric and OBG patients, including antenatal, postnatal, gynecological, and pediatric admissions.
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and support doctors during rounds and procedures.
Assist in breastfeeding support, newborn care, and postpartum education.
Handle pediatric patients with care and sensitivity, ensuring age-appropriate communication and safety.
Manage post-surgical care, pain management, and hygiene for OBG patients.
Patient & Family Education:
Educate patients and families about disease conditions, medication use, hygiene, newborn care, and postnatal practices.
Provide emotional support to mothers, families, and caregivers.
Coordination & Communication:
Coordinate with doctors, lab, pharmacy, and other departments for timely care delivery.
Ensure proper documentation of patient records, treatment charts, and care plans.
Participate in shift handovers and report patient condition changes promptly.
Ward Management & Safety:
Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and safety protocols in the ward.
Ensure timely availability of supplies, linen, and medications.
Report incidents, equipment malfunctions, and patient complaints per protocol.
Requirements:
Education:
GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid registration (KNC)
Experience:
1-3 years in pediatric or OBG wards preferred
Basic knowledge of maternal and child healthcare practices
Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays
Strong interpersonal, observation, and communication skills
Empathetic and supportive attitude towards patients and families
