Job Summary
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing
safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care
to patients across the IVF Centre and Multi-Speciality Hospital. The role involves
IVF treatment support, patient education, medication administration, procedural assistance, and coordination with clinical teams
, while maintaining high standards of
patient safety, infection control, and ethical care
.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Support
Provide comprehensive nursing care to OPD, IPD, and IVF patients as per hospital protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs, clinical status, and treatment progress.
Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and hormonal therapy as prescribed.
Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records.
IVF-Specific Nursing Responsibilities
Assist doctors during:
IVF consultations and procedures
Oocyte pickup (OPU), embryo transfer (ET), IUI
Prepare patients pre- and post-procedures and provide emotional support.
Handle IVF medications, injections, and stimulation protocols under supervision.
Educate patients on:
Medication schedules
Self-injection techniques (where applicable)
Pre- and post-procedure care instructions
Coordinate with embryology, OT, and counselling teams.
OT, Procedure & Emergency Support
Assist in OT setup and maintenance of sterile environment.
Ensure availability of consumables, drugs, and equipment.
Follow surgical safety checklists and emergency protocols.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and escalate appropriately.
Infection Control & Patient Safety
Adhere strictly to infection control practices and biomedical waste management.
Maintain aseptic techniques in all clinical areas.
Ensure patient safety, privacy, and dignity at all times.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate nursing documentation as per NABH and hospital SOPs.
Record medication administration, procedure notes, and incident reports.
Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement activities.
Coordination & Teamwork
Communicate effectively with doctors, embryologists, technicians, and support staff.
Coordinate patient transfers, admissions, and discharges.
Participate in handovers during shift changes.
Patient Education & Counselling Support
Educate patients and attendants on care plans, medications, and recovery.
Support fertility counsellors by reinforcing patient instructions and follow-ups.
Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical and procedural nursing skills
IVF and women's health exposure preferred
Excellent patient handling and communication skills
Emotional intelligence and empathy
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work in shifts and high-pressure situations
Knowledge of NABH standards and infection control
Qualifications & Experience
GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
Valid
State Nursing Council Registration
1-3 years of clinical nursing experience
IVF / OBG / OT experience preferred
Freshers with strong clinical training may be considered

Training and mentoring junior nurses

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month
