The ICU/CCU Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients. The role involves continuous monitoring, timely intervention, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes in intensive and cardiac care settings. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct bedside care to critically ill patients in ICU/CCU.
Monitor and assess vital signs, cardiac rhythms, ventilator parameters, and laboratory results.
Administer medications, infusions, and therapies as per physician's orders.
Operate and maintain critical care equipment (ventilators, defibrillators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, etc.).
Respond promptly to medical emergencies (e.g., code blue, cardiac arrest).
Ensure strict infection control practices are followed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in medical records.
Assist in invasive procedures (e.g., central line insertion, intubation) and provide post-procedure care.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, prognosis, and post-discharge care.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
Uphold ethical, safe, and patient-centered nursing practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing) / General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
Registered Nurse (RN) with valid nursing council license.
Minimum
1-3 years of experience
in ICU/CCU (fresh graduates with critical care training may be considered).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
Critical Care Nursing Certification (preferred).

Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in using ICU monitoring and life-support equipment.
