Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Patient Care:

Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, providing wound care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Patient Assessment and Monitoring:

Regularly assessing patients' conditions, observing for any changes, and reporting significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician.

Medication Administration:

Accurately administering prescribed medications according to established protocols and monitoring for any adverse reactions.

Documentation:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration, vital signs, assessments, and any changes in patient condition.

Patient and Family Education:

Providing information about medications, treatments, disease management, and preventative care to patients and their families.

Collaboration:

Working closely with physicians, other nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.

Supervision:

May supervise and guide junior nurses, nursing students, and other healthcare staff.

Emergency Response:

Responding to emergency situations, providing immediate care, and assisting with patient stabilization.

Maintaining a Safe Environment:

Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, including proper infection control practices.

Advocacy:

Advocating for patients' needs and ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.
