Job Purpose:

The Staff Nurse plays a critical role in providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care to women undergoing gynecological and infertility treatments. The role ensures smooth clinical operations, patient safety, and adherence to medical and NABH standards at Candor IVF Center.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Clinical Support

Assist doctors and embryologists during gynecological procedures, IVF treatments, and OPD consultations. Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care, including preparing patients for surgery, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and related treatments. Administer medications and injections as per prescribed protocols (IVF stimulation, luteal support, etc.). Monitor patient vitals, maintain records, and promptly report abnormalities to physicians. Educate and counsel patients about treatment plans, medication schedules, and lifestyle instructions.

Clinical Operations & Compliance

Maintain sterile techniques, infection control protocols, and OT readiness. Handle and manage OPD, IPD, and IVF procedure rooms with efficiency. Ensure safe storage, handling, and administration of medicines, injections, and IVF-related consumables. Document nursing notes, patient files, consent forms, and maintain confidentiality. Adhere to NABH, hospital SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Coordination & Teamwork

Collaborate with gynecologists, embryologists, counselors, and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care. Coordinate with pharmacy and purchase departments for required drugs, disposables, and equipment. Support patient satisfaction initiatives and maintain a caring, empathetic approach.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of gynecology and infertility/IVF procedures. Excellent patient care, empathy, and communication skills. Proficiency in IV/IM injections, venipuncture, and emergency response. Ability to handle sensitive cases with discretion and professionalism. Team-oriented with strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing (Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council).

Experience:

Minimum 1-3 years in gynecology, maternity, or IVF/infertility hospital preferred.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) / ACLS preferred.

Work Conditions:

Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays as per duty roster. Exposure to OT, lab, and clinical environments requiring adherence to safety protocols.
