The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and speedy recovery in accordance with established medical protocols and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining patient records.
Assist doctors during rounds, examinations, and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control standards in the ward.
Ensure proper documentation of nursing notes, medication charts, and treatment records.
Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient confidentiality protocols.
Participate in training sessions, audits, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing (Registered with State Nursing Council).
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years preferred (freshers may also apply).
Skills Required:
Good clinical and patient-handling skills
Knowledge of infection control and hospital safety procedures
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Work Schedule:
Rotational shifts (Morning / Evening / Night)
Compensation:
As per hospital norms / based on experience
