Senior Staff Engineer
Summary:
The AEM Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining websites and digital experiences built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).This role requires expertise in AEM functionalities, content management systems (CMS) and web development technologies to create engaging and interactive user experiences. They collaborate closely with designers, content creators and marketers to translate vision into reality on the AEM platform.
Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement AEM components, workflows and integrations to meet specific project requirements.
  • Configure and manage AEM instances, including security settings, user permissions and content delivery networks (CDNs).
  • Develop custom code extensions using languages like Java, HTL (Handlebars Template Language)and JavaScript to enhance AEM functionalities.
  • Troubleshoot and debug technical issues related to AEM functionalities and integrations.
  • Migrate content and assets from existing platforms to AEM.
  • Optimize AEM websites for performance, scalability and SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
  • Work with designers and content creators to ensure seamless integration of design elements and content management within AEM.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AEM releases, features and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on AEM development projects.
  • Document AEM configurations, custom code and processes for future reference.
Qualifications:
  • Full lifecycle development experience using AEM, Java development.
  • Experience in design and development of web applications using Web content management system - Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Preferably - Experience in using the core frameworks in AEM platform such as JCR, Apache Sling and Apache Felix
  • 5+ years in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with content management technologies
  • Minimum of 5 years of J2EE programming experience required.
  • Experience implementing Adobe AEM or similar web content management system (6.5 and later required)
  • Design, develop and support AEM components, integrations and applications.
  • Experience integrating Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics with AEM?
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
  • Experience with web and application servers, such as Apache and Tomcat
  • Experience in HTML5, DHTML, CSS3 and Javascript (ExtJS, jQuery etc.)
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks and preprocessors (Angular, Underscore, Bootstrap, LESS etc)
  • Experience with Advanced & Complex AEM features.
