This role at Enphase requires working onsite

, with plans to transition back to a full 5 day in office schedule over time.

About the role
Enphase Energy currently incorporates a bi-directional storage backup system for homes to provide seamless power transitions. These are interfaced with grid, Micro invertors and Lithium Ion based batteries. These Energy storage systems solutions are for the residential market with international compliance standards.

As a Staff Engineer-Hardware-Product Engineering, the candidate will be responsible for owning the sustenance activities of the IQ Gateway, IQ System Controllers and IQ Combiners. That includes Failure root cause analysis, proposing solutions, Design fix V&V, Alternate component qualification includes wired and wireless communication. Work closely with all cross functional departments towards solution deployment into the field.

What you will doingCandidate will be part of owning the product once the product reaches the field. Prime involvement is in the activities of Product Engineering of the product that includes Root cause analysis, provide design fix, Design verification & validation, functional testing, Alternate components analysis and qualification. Fair idea about FW algorithms required on embedded systems. Able to handle various stages of the life cycle of a product with ownership and accountability. Work closely with cross functional teams like PCB design team, compliance team, various DVTs team to ensure design meets all requirements. Co-ordinate with the team on pre-compliance, final compliance tests and with reliability team on reliability tests. Write Engineering Requirements, Test Plans and Validation Reports to fill the gaps. Good verbal and written communication, presentation skills Mentor junior engineers and supervise lab work

Who you are and what you bringBE/BTech- Electrical or Electronics Engineering a minimum of 10 years' experience (M.Tech with 8+Years experience) in hardware design testing, verification and validation including Converters (AC-DC, DC-DC), Inverters, SMPS etc. in relevant industries like UPS, energy storage or electric vehicles. Strong power electronics with good knowledge of analog and digital designs. Experience using OrCAD for schematic capture and Cadence Allegro for PCB layout Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Practical experience of in-depth bench testing, V&V testing, and debugging of hardware designs Understanding and application of EMC design Familiarity with the UL & IEC standards on safety & EMI/EMC - IEC61010, 61000-4, 61326-1 etc. Must have Hands-on and familiar with Lab equipment like oscilloscope, Power sources, Electronic Loads etc. * Familiar with Modelling & simulation tools like LTSpice, TiNA, PSIM etc.
