Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group Systems Engineering General Summary: Understand the VLSI Design problem and translate into specification of software, algorithms and models that need to be built. Design and develop high-performance and well-tested algorithms and software implementations of Optimization algorithms and Machine Learning solutions. Minimum Qualifications: Qualcomm Global SoC Machine Learning Research team is actively seeking candidates for several positions for developing EDA/VLSI Algorithms and Machine Learning. Qualcomm Global SoC Machine Learning Research team in Bangalore is part of a worldwide team responsible for developing Machine Learning based EDA solutions for VLSI which help Qualcomm create chips that deliver the best Power, Performance and Area. The ideal candidate has a background in building VLSI tools like Placers, Routers and Timing Engines and understands a variety of optimization algorithms used in CAD. A strong interest in applying Machine Learning to CAD would be nice to have. Understanding of VLSI design process. Familiarity with algorithms used in critical design steps such as Verification, Static Timing Analysis, Placement or Routing. . Academic background or experience in graph algorithms (such as graph partitioning, minimum spanning trees), combinatorial optimization (such as Simulated Annealing) and continuous optimization (such as LP, quadratic solvers) . Familiarity with commercial EDA tools like Innovus, Fusion Compiler, PrimeTime, RedHawk or Open source tools like ePlace, OpenRoad, ABC . Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) . Python, C++, TCL, Shell Scripting . Ability to build Software Architecture, Data Structures .
