General Summary:
his position offers hands-on system embedded software debugging and customer engagement to bring the next generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon products in Automotive infotainment working with multiple technology teams,Tier1s, OEMs and industry partners. The engineer will be involved in the next generation of embedded automotive software for Linux-based automotive solutions.Training, publishing application notes, assisting customers with software integration, development, and system debugging, are some of the key daily activities in this role. Acting as the key liaison between QCOM engineering and customers, customer engineers interact with marketing, test engineering and sales to ensure customer products are received favorably and on time in the marketplace.
In this role, the engineer will work to implement the customer test suite for production (or factory) tests for System Level Testing. These tests are typically used by customers to screen HW defects in thier PCB design and run during mass production (or in factory environment) where the goal is to find the defects in minimum amount of time. These tests are implemented in boot loader environment (UEFI) and covers key areas like CPU, DDR, SOC Interfaces - i2c, SPI, UART, USB peripherals,multimedia - Display/Camera/Video,and other stress tests.
The team is looking for a candidate who has strong background on Firmware/Embedded/UEFI/RTOS concepts, with an understanding of HW concepts
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 3+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 2+ years of experience with debugging techniques.

• 10+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Possess 3 yrs to 7 yrs of experience in embedded software development.
• Familiarity with System BIOS and UEFI is preferred.
• Debug issues reported from mass production (factory) environment.
• Define and develop test cases in multiple critical areas of the SoC.
• Strong C and Assembly Programming with OS & Multi-Processor concepts.
• ARM Trust-Zone & ARMv7/v8 architecture.
• Strong Embedded software development in C and C++ on ARM.
• Strong Good debugging skills with experience on debugging with Lauterbach JTAG debuggers is a must.
• Strong understanding of hardware blocks - Clocks, PLLs, GPIO, Interrupt Controllers (GIC), Peripherals (PCIE, USB, UFS).
• Work on challenging customer requirements and issues.
• Closely work with the hardware team to contribute/suggest modifications to the hardware design.
• Any Past working experience on Qualcomm chips is preferred.
