The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists. The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility. The Staff Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to architect, design, lead and implement software platform features working collaboratively with team. He or She will develop and deliver ICE platform features and common applications following the software development lifecycle and design controls for the next generation of laboratory software systems. This position is part of the Software, Systems and Automation business unit located in Bangalore and will be hybrid mode working. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Architect, lead, mentor and coach a team of engineers to solve complex engineering problems and drive product improvements that have a positive impact on our customers. Design software, write code and author unit tests Develop a detailed understanding of system requirements (both explicit and implicit), deriving software requirements from product requirements Investigate software, hardware and systemic problems using a variety of techniques and provide innovative solutions to technical issues Prepare documentation to align with our design and development processes that are designed to meet requirements of regulatory agencies Passionate about the team, customers, quality, knowledge-sharing and cross-team collaboration Collaboration with cross functional teams Product Management, Service, and Systems team to understand the needs and translate into actionable features. The essential requirements of the job include Bachelor\'s/Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with 10 - 15 years of proven experience Extensive experience with iterative product delivery using agile & scrum practices and working with distributed scrum teams. Hands on experience in distributed loosely coupled Microservice architecture. Hands on experience with domain driven design (developing and testing use casedomain isolation of persistence, IPC and presentation). Hands on experience with .Net Core (.Net Std) and/or Java. Hands on experience with Azure Apps, IOT (DPS, Hub and Edge). Hands on experience with application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes(K8S)) and orchestration Great Exposure to Continuous Integration, delivery and deployment, version Control (e.g., git). Effectively use the knowledge on inter process communication (gRPC/REST) and application development using HCJ (e.g., React). Effectively use the event driven architecture using message bus (e.g., RabitMQ) It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Understanding of software development processes for a regulated environment (FDA/ISO13485) and experience in medical device verification is a plus.
