Position Title: Staff Engineer Agentic
:
Roles & responsibilities:

• Full-stack development of AI-powered, merchant-facing products, spanning exploratory data analysis (EDA), model development, agentic systems, and frontend engineering (React).
• Architect and implement agent-based systems using tools such as OpenAI Response API, LangX, AutoGPT, or custom-built frameworks.
• Design and deploy systems integrating large language models (LLMs), including fine-tuning (e.g., reinforcement learning), model evaluation (OpenAI Eval Framework), prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Apply advanced data science and optimization techniquesincluding deep learning, Bayesian causal inference, bandit models, and linear/integer programmingto solve real-world challenges in pricing, discounting, and promotions.
• Build and maintain production-grade ML pipelines and APIs (FastAPI/Flask), ensuring scalable performance and reliability.
• Additional Responsibilities
• Champion engineering best practices across CI/CD, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor junior AI engineers, offering guidance on modeling, coding, and system design.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to drive key initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders in English.

Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in data science and machine learning engineering.
• Proven success in delivering at least two customer-facing AI or data products at scale.
• Hands-on expertise in agent development using orchestration tools like LangX or similar.
• Deep experience with LLMs, including fine-tuning, RAG, and embedding-based retrieval.
• Strong foundation in optimization methods, particularly in pricing or inventory domains.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML/DS libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow).
• Excellent EDA skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
• Comfortable working independently and across distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or related field.
• Industry experience in grocery retail, merchandising, or related domains (e.g., personalization, demand forecasting).
• Familiarity with real-time data pipelines and distributed systems (Kafka, Spark).
• Experience with SaaS platforms, consumer-facing technologies, or marketplaces.

Must Have Skills:

• Full-Stack AI Product Development From EDA and modeling to frontend (React) and backend (FastAPI/Flask).
• Agent-Based System Architecture Using LangX, AutoGPT, or custom frameworks.
• LLM Integration & Fine-Tuning Including RAG, prompt engineering, and reinforcement learning.
• Advanced Data Science & Optimization Deep learning, causal inference, bandits, and mathematical programming.
• Production-Ready ML Engineering Scalable pipelines, APIs, CI/CD, and cloud deployment.
