What is PID Digital?

PID Digital is our digital innovation, incubation and acceleration center for emerging and disruptive computing and business models.

We bring together strategic product and business leaders, technologists and data scientists to accelerate the development and commercialization of disruptive and transformative digital solutions into the marketplace.

We partner with Danaher operating companies (OpCo) to develop and commercialize emerging and disruptive digital technologies.

By leveraging emerging technologies, PID Digital will accelerate Danaher's digital innovation journey to create sustainable competitive advantages.

IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 700+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, PID Digital, LS Digital Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet, SCIEX, IDBS, Laetus and Cepheid.

The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.

The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility.

Position Purpose:

The Staff Digital Product Owner for PID Digital team is responsible for leading the product development lifecycle of our API platform designed for Danaher's product companies to leverage enterprise data, functionality, and other digital assets in their independent applications. This individual will be responsible for developing and evangelizing the long term roadmap for the platform, while managing competing priorities from existing and future customers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short-term and long-term releases.

Decompose features into user stories that are granular enough for the team to estimate and work.

Translate requirements into acceptance criteria for stories and create documentation to ensure features can be accepted and validate that completed stories meet their acceptance criteria.

Review and ensure scope is agreed to and understood by our technical teams, and drive requirements through to production release, and ensure smooth post-release adoption across operating companies.

Act as liaison between internal and external teams to support product positioning and customer demand as part of new product development.

Be the specialist and go-to person for your products throughout the organization. Proactively educate others, solicit, and share feedback, and actively plan for the future incorporating any lessons learned.

This role expects the candidate to be in Hybrid mode of working. Given this role expects people management, ability to connect with the team and motivate is a prime expectation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.

5+ years of experience in development of SaaS based systems/platforms/applications or related cloud services gained from Product Management/Technical management or as a hands-on architect

5+ years of experience in cloud-based (AWS or Azure) software applications/services

3+ years of in-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles, SAFe or similar role responsible for defining and shipping actual products.

Consistent track record of leading and shipping actual software products, particularly application programming interface's (APIs) and enterprise software-as-as-service (SaaS) products.

Proven ability to build a strong rapport and relationship with customers to gain in-depth understanding of customers' problems and needs.

Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, translate to customer and business implications, handle tradeoffs and facilitate decision-making.

Since this position requires frequent interaction with cross-functional teams and senior product management leadership, excellent communication, presentation, project management and problem-solving skills are critical.

Demonstrated ability and experience in negotiating and generating alignment of requirements across major stakeholders.

Ability to understand, recognize, and work within a multicultural and international business environment.

Travel - Ability to travel 20% nationally and internationally - United States and Western Europe.
