Responsibilities:
Daily posting of journal entries ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles
Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure all transactions are properly accounted
Maintain and update the general ledger, including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries
Create and manage invoices, while maintaining Tally records including Profit & Loss statements, cash flow statements, and related financial reports
Assist in preparation and closing of monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets. Participate in the year-end closing process, including audit preparation and co-ordination
Assist in analysis and preparation of data for payment & filing returns of
GST, TDS, PT, EPF
etc.,
Daily/ weekly/ monthly visibility of tasks & reporting
Ensuring accounting as per Accounting Standards, and Schedule III of Companies Act, 2013
Assist and prepare of Income Tax Returns in line with provisions as per Income Tax Act, 1961
Reconciliation of inter-company transactions
Identification of related parties and recording related party transactions
Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations
Requirements:
Must be a graduate from a bachelor's degree programme in accounting, finance or related field (Prior experience of 1-2 years is preferred).
Advanced skills in financial software -
Tally,
Zoho Books etc., and proficiency in
Microsoft Excel.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey financial information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to take initiative, learn quickly, and actively contribute to the team's success.
