About the Role

This is a remote role but we are looking for candidates that are based within India or the Philippines.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated

Staff Accountant

to join our growing finance team. This role will primarily focus on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and posting journal entries, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

NetSuite

and a strong foundation in accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries for daily, monthly, and year-end accounting activities Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjustments Perform account reconciliations (e.g., bank, prepaid, accruals, intercompany) Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Assist in preparing financial statements and internal management reports Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and GAAP standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and insights Assist with audits, both internal and external, by providing requested documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (corporate or public accounting)

Proficiency with NetSuite

required Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles, familiarity with tax preparation Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

CPA or CPA eligibility a plus Experience in healthcare, technology, or professional services industry a plus Prior experience in a high-growth or startup environment
