About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Android Developer (Kotlin) to join our mobile engineering team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable Android applications. As an SSE/LE, you will contribute to technical design, code quality, and mentoring junior developers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-quality, scalable Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
Own end-to-end feature development--from requirement analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, QA, and Backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
Optimize application performance, memory usage, and network operations.
Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, SDKs, and Firebase services.
Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality.
Mentor junior developers (for SSE/LE roles).
Identify improvements in architecture, process, and performance.
Troubleshoot issues and debug production problems.
Requirements
3-7 years of hands-on Android development experience.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation, WorkManager, etc.).
Experience with Android UI frameworks, Material Design, and XML-based design.
Sound knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, MVVM/MVI architecture.
Experience with REST APIs, Retrofit/OkHttp, JSON, and WebSocket communication.
Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows.
Experience with Unit Testing and UI testing tools (JUnit, Espresso).
Knowledge of performance profiling tools (Android Profiler).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Familiarity with Flutter, React Native, or other cross-platform frameworks.
Exposure to Jetpack Compose.
Experience integrating push notifications, analytics, crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics).
Knowledge of secure coding and best practices for app security.
Experience in mentoring or leading small development teams (for Lead Engineer role).
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Technology or related field is required.
