Position Overview



We are looking for a results-driven

Sr.Manager - Bids & Pre-Sales

with strong expertise in IT hardware products-

Server , Storage,Workstations,PCs-

to lead a high-performing team while contributing as an individual contributor on strategic bids. This role combines

team leadership

,

technical solutioning

, and

strategic bid management

, with opportunities to influence product direction and grow partner ecosystems.

Core Responsibilities



1. Bid Management



Tender Monitoring & Evaluation

: Track and download RFPs/RFQs from portals (e.g., GEM, e-Tender) and evaluate for business fit.

Proposal Development

: Create complete technical and commercial proposals including pricing, architecture, and compliance documentation..

Bid Lifecycle Management

: Own the bid process from evaluation to submission with focus on timelines and compliance.

Documentation & Reporting

: Maintain organized records, bid logs, and post-bid analytics for continuous improvement.

2. Pre-Sales (Server/Storage/Workstation/PC- Solutions)



Solution Consulting

: Understand customer needs and design appropriate server infrastructure (hardware/software) solutions.

Architecture & TCO Planning

: Design scalable architectures, perform ROI/TCO analysis, and create implementable solution plans.

Proposal Drafting

: Develop high-quality, customer-focused technical proposals with clear value propositions.

RFP/RFI Input

: Provide technical content and architecture guidance for RFIs and RFP responses.

Competitive Benchmarking

: Assess technical feasibility, profitability, and differentiation versus competitors.

Sales Support

: Act as a technical consultant to sales teams during deal structuring and customer engagement.

ODM/Partner Collaboration

: Lead product alignment efforts with ODMs and strategic technology partners.

3. Partner & Vendor Management



Partner Development

: Identify and build strategic relationships with OEMs, SIs, and technology partners.

Vendor Engagement

: Manage coordination and alignment with hardware/software vendors for bids and solution development.

Relationship Building

: Serve as the escalation point for key partner issues and ongoing collaboration.

4. Team Leadership & Management



Team Management

: Lead and mentor a team of bid executives and pre-sales engineers, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.

Resource Allocation

: Prioritize and assign tasks across team members based on strengths and project requirements.

Process Optimization

: Standardize internal workflows, ensure quality control, and improve proposal turnaround time.

IC Responsibilities

: In addition to leadership, actively contribute to high-value bids and complex solutioning efforts, ensuring hands-on involvement in critical opportunities.

Qualifications



Education

: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, IT, Business, or a related field.

Experience

: Min 6+ years of experience in bid management and pre-sales for IT Hardware Products with OEMs/System Integrator / Dealers of repute.

Skills & Competencies



Techno Commercial Expertise in IT Hardware , hardware/software integration, and infrastructure solutioning

Proficiency with e- procurement portals of Central/State Governments, Public Sector Companies -example GeM In-depth knowledge of the bid lifecycle, proposal development, and tendering platforms Proven ability to lead and develop high-performance teams. Strong individual contributor mindset with a willingness to be hands-on..
Strong negotiation and pricing skills.

Excellent project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management. Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications



APMP certification (Foundation or higher) is a plus.

Success Metrics



Bid win rate and total revenue generated. Turnaround time for proposal submissions. Revenue contribution via partner-led opportunities. Quality, accuracy, and effectiveness of technical and commercial deliverables. Team engagement, performance, and retention.
