To ensure that all wood products, furniture components, and finished goods meet company and customer quality standards by implementing effective quality control systems, inspection procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection & Control
Conduct in-process and final inspections of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
Ensure quality checks are carried out as per defined standards, drawings, and specifications.
Monitor moisture content, finishing quality, joinery accuracy, veneer/lamination quality, and assembly fit.
Identify defects and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Process Quality Management
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control at every production stage.
Coordinate with production teams to maintain consistent quality output.
Verify calibration of measuring and testing instruments.
Supplier Quality Assurance
Inspect incoming raw materials such as plywood, MDF, hardware, veneers, adhesives, and finishes.
Communicate non-conformities to suppliers and follow up for corrective action.
Support vendor development by setting clear quality benchmarks.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inspection records, test reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality performance reports.
Maintain traceability and documentation for audits.
Continuous Improvement & Training
Analyze defects, rework, and customer complaints to identify root causes.
Implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs.
Conduct quality awareness training for operators and production staff.
Customer Quality Interaction
Coordinate with clients during product inspections or audits.
Ensure timely resolution of customer feedback and complaints.
Participate in final product quality approvals.
