The IP Billing Executive is responsible for managing inpatient billing operations, including patient admission billing, daily billing updates, discharge billing, and coordination with insurance (TPA) departments to ensure accurate and timely claims processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle
Inpatient (IP) billing
- prepare, verify, and finalize patient bills accurately.
Ensure all
services, investigations, and procedures
are captured correctly in the patient bill.
Coordinate with
nursing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and consultants
for billing-related entries.
Manage
advance collection, deposit adjustments, refunds, and discharge clearance
.
Liaise with
TPA/Insurance teams
for pre-authorization, final approval, and bill submission.
Maintain all
TPA documentation
and follow up on pending claims.
Support
cashless patients
during admission and discharge processes.
Ensure compliance with
hospital billing policies
and statutory guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial transactions.
Generate and submit daily billing reports to the finance and operations teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Graduate in Commerce / Finance / Hospital Administration or equivalent.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in hospital IP billing, with strong exposure to
TPA/Insurance billing processes
.
Software Skills:
Familiarity with
Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
and billing software.
Preferred Industry:
Healthcare / Hospital
