Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical/Electrical engineer with good experience in the electric vehicle industry for our LV battery Team.1. Knowledge on 12V & 48V battery and its functionality.2. Knowledge on Battery system & its application used for (PHEV /MHEV/BHEV).3. Good work experience on Battery Vent tubes & cooling system and manufacturing Feasibility. 4. Knowledge of Homolo gation, Grade, EMC requirements & tests involved.5. Good knowledge of DFMEA & DV/PV.6. Ability to understand & intercept circuit d iagram if any changes required.7. Knowledge of harness, clips and connectors used for automotive application.8. Collaboration with Suppliers & ensuring closure of activities & design requirements.9. Extensive work experience in a high volume manufacturing envir onment, preferably automotive.10. Ability to negotiate complex arrangements with service providers and Suppliers.11. Excellent com munication and presentation skills and ability to work individually and cross functional teams.12. Experience managing projects and leading to meet targets and deadlines.13. Good Knowledge on Tooling feasibility, Raw materials and their sources & familiarity wit h full design life cycle process.14. Familiarity with the relevant industries, technical standards, and requirements.15. Demonstra te a strong understanding of electric vehicle system safety along with a Quality focused approach.16. Hands on experience with CATI A V5/V6 , PLM and PDM (TEAM CENTRE, VISMOCKUP).Roles and Responsibilities. Understanding Electrical vehicle drivetrain & its req uirement evaluation.. Understanding the Energy Storage system (Battery) sizing for Targeted vehicle performance.. Interfacing with PE components and other vehicle components.. Packaging & integrating of battery cooling system & Vent tube (for Bespoke & off Shel f part).. Design & Development of Vent tube to control gases of Battery in safe manner and discharge to safe zone area.. Creating Test case, Design Rule or requirements in S-Dots if required. (to carry out DV or PV test for Vent Tube & Fan ). Benchmarking & Co ncept Development.. Adhering to JLR process and Gateways.. Working on QAF, RFQ and Support Plan along with supplier/Buyer & VFM te am.. APQP meeting with suppliers.. Design and DFMEA review.. Comply Grade/EMC/Safety Compliance. Support development of parts In -house or at supplier end.. Support in testing of the parts at supplier or in-house as per DV or PV using JLR test case.. Support on Quality/Warranty issues (Post Launch).. Participate at Supplier PPAP activities & Periodic audits of suppliers to improve the qu ality and process improvements.. Support builds, creating supply plan for M1/VB & for production cars (Saleable vehicles).. Engine ering solution for build issues & containing of current production parts as ICA & PCA.. Raising deviation against Requirements and PR-Aims and providing fixing point.. Managing cross car line releases for carry over parts.
