Job Responsibilities :

.

• Responsible for engineering of SCADA, Telecom, Pipeline Application Software and Pipeline Intrusion Detection systems.
• Carry out in-house engineering for projects, whenever required.
• Coordinate with engineering consultant/ vendor for finalization of engineering deliverables and material/ service requisitions.
• Ensuring engineering complies with latest Codes, Standards, Regulations and Company standards.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for Inter-Disciplinary Checks (IDC) of documents and drawings.
• Prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Materials and Services including preparation of PR#s, Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and PO issuance.
• Coordinate with P&C department for RFQ issuance, TQs, TQ responses, TBE and order placement duly synchronized with Project schedule.
• Prepare Management of Change (MOC) document for any change in engineering post final issuance.
• Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Report.
• Prepare Extra Cost Authorization Request (ECAR) including obtaining management approval.
• Review and approval of vendor deliverables to facilitate timely manufacturing.
• Carry out Inspection and Testing/ FAT at vendor#s works and coordinate for SAT at site.
• Expediting with various vendors to ensure timely delivery of material to project warehouse.
• Coordinate with Site team and Warehouse personnel for material inspection and GRN preparation.
• Coordinate with site team and vendors for timely vendor#s representative deployment for installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical inputs/ assistance to site teams for installation and pre-commissioning.
• Interact closely with O&M team for commissioning of SCADA, Telecom, Pipeline Application Software and Pipeline Intrusion Detection systems.
• Review and approval of as-built documentation of IFC drawings and vendor deliverables.
• Provide required inputs to audit teams and ensure closure of various audit observations.
• Identify emerging technologies/ systems, evaluate and implement, if found suitable, in pipeline projects.
• Carry out value engineering.

Education Requirement : B.E / B Tech - Electronics and Communication Engineering

Experience Requirement :

Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering and design of SCADA and Telecommunication system including PAS, LDS, PIDS etc. in Oil & Gas Industry with consulting OR EPC Company having Design & Engineering capability.

Skills & Competencies :

• Specialization in Oil & Gas pipelines is essential.
• Experience in conceptualizing, design and technology selection of SCADA and Telecommunication system including PAS, LDS, PIDS etc. for cross-country pipelines and associated Stations.
• Should possess knowledge in review and/ or preparation of technical documentation like FDS, System Architecture, Control Philosophy, Logic Diagram, Specifications, Data Sheets, Calculations, Channeling Plan, I/O Schedule, I/O database, Serial/ Ethernet communication database, Cause & Effect Matrix, Requisitions, Technical Recommendations, Vendor documentation etc.
• Should be conversant with all relevant Codes & Standards like IEEE, ITU-T, IEC, IS etc.
• Knowledge on SAP as user for PR, Service Entry, Status of Material GRN/PO/WO etc.
• Must have analytical, problem-solving and independent decision making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
