Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG Bank Ltd having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific

Purpose of Role

The Middle Office is part of the Asian Investment Banking Division. It provides centralized services to Global Corporate & Investment Bank (GCIB) coverage and product teams to enable business growth and seamless client experience.

Middle Office Dept provides exceptional service by resolving a broad range of complex customer needs involving various investment banking products and market segments. This requires a high level of responsiveness to internal and external customer requests and collaboration.

This role is a part of MOD - RRH (Middle Office Dept Regional Reporting Hub) and is expected to contribute to all related initiatives within the team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Produce and distribute useful and timely reports across different business functions.
• Support scoping of report requirements with business users by identifying specific data needs, structure, format and reporting frequency to achieve intended outcomes; escalate in case of any issues as per agreed SLAs.
• Assist with implementation of business process improvements in reporting activities across multiple locations, minimize risk, and enhance data quality.
• Facilitate the automation of standardized reports generated from systems or databases.
• Collaborate with our partners including IT to drive and support enhancements and system improvements.
• Propose and deliver solutions to Report Owners using a standard set of technologies to derive the required outcomes.
• Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes.
• Assist with special projects and implementation of department initiative as appropriate.
• Conduct data quality checks, document impact / gap analysis, and testing.

• A degree in accounting, computer science, mathematics, statistics with 4-6+ years of experience in implementing solutions related to reporting and/or data management.
• Analytical mindset to understand through conversations the requirements, data structures and design solutions.
• Must be hands-on to get into the details of specific reports and requirements to drive regional standardization; ability to analyze large and complex datasets.
• Practical project management experience to be able to plan, track and drive delivery of solutions on time and within budget an advantage.
• Experience in driving process improvements by using tools such as process mapping and design, data analysis and automation.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, conflict resolution and consensus building skills, and an ability to build partnerships.
• Highly organized, with a structured and logical approach, and an ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities
• At a minimum, proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel VBA, macros, are required.
• Experience technologies like Tableau, Alteryx, RPA, Python, VBA, SQL, similar tools an advantage.
• Knowledge of corporate banking products, services, and systems an advantage.
• Experience on regulatory / management reporting preferred.
