6 to 12 years experience of working in Upstream Oil and Gas for Exploration and Production (E&P) assets. He / She must have worked with Onshore / Offshore / Oil / LNG.
Perform thermal-hydraulic design calculations and analysis for new and existing heat exchangers.
Review mechanical designs of heat exchangers to ensure compliance with standards and operational requirements.
Troubleshoot performance and leakage issues in heat exchangers and recommend effective solutions.
Monitor heat exchanger performance, identify issues, and propose corrective actions.
Review and evaluate vendor design packages for compliance and quality.
Design reboilers and condensers for various process applications.
Apply working knowledge of mechanical design principles for pressure vessels.
Carry out Process Simulations, calculations and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.
Expert in process simulation tools like Pro-II, Aspen, HTRI, FLARENET, etc.
Proven skills in routine process calculations [Blowdown/Depressurization(MDMT) studies, Heat dissipation study, Thermal design of Heat exchanger, Compressor/Pipeline surge analysis, Line & Equipment sizing]
Should have strong communication skills.
Estimate efforts, timelines and dependencies to solve the problem.
Build / Update the model for analysis (including various scenarios, boundary conditions and acceptance criteria)
Review results and make recommendations
Work Experience
Qualification & Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
6 - 12yrs Proven experience in the design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of various heat exchanger types, including:
+ Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers
+ Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers
+ Plate-Type Heat Exchangers Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes such as TEMA, API 660/661, ASME Section VIII Division 1 & 2.
Ability to handle discussions / communications independently
