The Role Sr. Telecommunication Design Engineer is - to support designs for international & German Projects


For this project in Bangalore, we are seeking a Sr. Telecommunication Design Engineer with at least 8+ years of experience into designing.

Responsibilities:




Experiences:

  • Deep understanding of design and installation of telecommunications systems involving Fibre Optic and Copper cabling backbone and distribution, SDH/PDH, MPLS, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi network architecture, TETRA/GSM-R/LTE/FRMCS, Security System (CCTV & ACS), Telephony/VoIP systems, Fire Alarm system etc.
  • Experience in various project phases such as bidding, conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design etc.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical layouts related to telecommunications.
  • Knowledge of Railways environment and understands various interface needs of Telecom with other systems and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of European, German, British, and other Railway standards.
  • Experience in AutoCAD / MS Visio. BIM will be an added advantage.
  • Professional Registrations such as IEng, CEng would be desirable.



Your Tasks:

  • Lead, design and deliver Telecom infrastructure primarily for German market & also for International Railway projects.
  • Own and prepare technical & commercial bids.
  • Prepare timely forecast of project workload needs.
  • Review designs prepared by other Engineers as per to ensure completeness according to technical & quality guidelines.
  • Supervise, provide technical guidance, and mentor other Engineers / CAD Designers / other technical staff within the same project.
  • Create and improve established engineering processes.
  • Conduct Site surveys, Customer / Vendor meetings.



Which Software do we use? :


MS-Office, AUTO-CAD, MS-Visio, PDF-Exchange Editor.



Qualifications:




  • Master / Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electronics & Communication / Telecommunication or equivalent qualification or work experience in a relevant area.
  • Relevant Experience (years): Min 8 to 12 Years in Railways / Metro Rail in Telecom System Design.
  • Excellent, proven knowledge and experience in telecommunications engineering, with design abilities in railway or related communications and security systems.
  • Ability / Desire to work successfully with multi-cultural teams across different countries with little to no supervision.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • German language skills would be an added advantage but not mandatory.
  • Open to learn German Language.
