As a Sr. Staff Data Scientist II, you will lead the Ad DS Charter; building performance algorithms to improve the eCPM for SMB campaigns, enhancing Ad serving algorithms to improve yield, and developing predictive models for inventory forecasting to drive Ad revenue growth.

Key responsibilities:
Lead the vision and development of algorithms focused on improving eCPM for SMB ad campaigns across the JioStar platform.
Architect enhancements to the ad serving logic with a focus on yield optimization and revenue lift.
Build predictive models for inventory forecasting across ad types and formats, leveraging historical trends, seasonality, and real-time signals.
Partner with ad operations, product, and engineering to translate business goals into scalable ML/DS solutions.
Establish strong offline and online evaluation frameworks for assessing algorithm performance and business impact.
Design and lead A/B testing strategies to validate model effectiveness.
Mentor junior data scientists, establish technical best practices, and guide roadmap execution.
Stay updated on advancements in advertising algorithms, ML strategies, and forecasting techniques, bringing cutting-edge research into production.
Skills and attributes for success:
Proven experience in digital advertising, preferably in programmatic, performance, or display ad environments.
Deep understanding of yield optimization, eCPM drivers, and campaign performance metrics.
Strong expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques for forecasting and optimization.
Experience building and scaling ML systems in production environments with high-throughput and low-latency requirements.
Hands-on coding ability in Python, SQL, and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
Familiarity with ad tech stacks, RTB systems, demand-side platforms (DSPs), and ad servers is a strong plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Preferred education and experience:
Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, or related quantitative field with 10+ years of experience in applied data science.
