Sr. SQ&D EMS E&R
Mission:

  • Reports directly to the APAC SQD Leader E&R NEV with team performance metrics in line. Gears, Shaft, Cold Plates, Magnet, Oil-Pump, Invertor, Controller, Connector, Sensors, Stator, Capacitor, Resistor, IGBT, etc.
  • Management of NPI Launches, CE (component engineering) and VE (value engineering), Resourcing and Continuous Quality Improvement plans with Tier1 Suppliers, support suppliers on GTX directed Tier2 suppliers and monitor the overall progress.
  • Owns full accountability for supplier operational performances.
  • Assures that purchased materials and components meet the GTX Quality requirements.
  • Manage the Quality/Technical activities taking place between the Launch SQ teams and the Suppliers on new programs launches.
  • Support Continuous Quality Improvement plans with Suppliers and Monitor progress.
  • Support rapid problem solving methodology and corrective action implementation with suppliers.
  • Conduct Quality System and Process Audits at suppliers.
Specific duties:
  • Deployment of Technical process audits at suppliers, best practice and PFMEA.
  • Coaching the Supplier on Manufacturing process and Quality Systems
  • Qualify External Process Capability and Capacity for NPI/HLRR - PPAP/ Run @ Rate
  • Manage supplier APQP requirements in getting proper Quality documentation and adherence to customer specific standards
  • Support APQP Phase 0-6
  • Assist Commodities in New supplier assessment and selection
  • Perform periodic process audits at supplier sites, Report audit rating, areas of risk, observations and improvement opportunities and Track gap closure
  • Monitor supplier performance Metrics and deploy improvement plans accordingly
  • Apply a variety of tools and techniques to continuously improve product quality, process capability and cost
  • Interact with Suppliers to resolve material problems on-site. Drive root cause analysis, containment and corrective actions
Qualification, Attributes & Technical Skills required:
  • Extensive Electronic/Mechatronic knowledge - automotive industry. Gears, Shaft, Cold Plates, Magnet, Oil-Pump, Invertor, Controller, Connector, Sensors, Capacitor, Resistor, IGBT, Printed Circuit Boards Printed (PCB) and Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) / Semiconductors, Wiring Harnesses, Stator Coils and Stator Coil assemblies, Brushless DC Motors, Power Electronics) Bus Bars, etc.
  • General overview in EOL test for electronic component. In process-check for PCBA manufacturing like ICT, AOI, in line 2D/3D X-Ray and EOL aging and test methods. PT Failure Analysis with 2D/3D X-Ray machine, Sonoscan.
  • Experience with PCBA tear down and destructive analysis processes for component and PCBA failure analysis
  • Strong/Proven Leadership Skills
  • Ability to Read drawings and technical specification, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
  • Capability to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions with good understanding of Process Instructions (Sw, Hw, Firmware parameters).
  • Problem solving analysis skills with a logical and methodical approach (8D, 5Why, Cause/Effect Diagram)
  • Knowledge on complex micro-electronics device: Microcontroller, ASIC, SOP, FPGA, PLD, IGBT, Power MOSFET
  • Experience of the layout of electronic PCBs and components ensuring compliance with regulations governing (ROHS -restriction of hazardous substances) and ESD.
  • Others Skills:
  • Project management - Leadership Skills
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GDT).
  • Manufacturing Process auditing
  • Quality practices: AIAG - APQP, PPAP, D&PFMEA, DOE, ISO TS-16949, etc
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Knowledge of a 3rd European language is a plus.
  • University Graduate in Electronics, Mechatronics, Design and/or Application Electronic experience
  • Previous working experience of minimum 8 years, preferable in automotive industry.
  • Six Sigma experience - Lean expert - Black Belt is a plus
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner with all business functions and suppliers.
  • Excellent personal organization and capable to plan and manage his own work.
