We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior ServiceNow ITOM & ITSM Specialist with a proven track record in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow ITOM and ITSM solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in migrating from legacy systems (BMC Atrium via IBM TDI, HP UCMDB, IBM TADDM) to ServiceNow, optimizing CMDB population and Discovery/Service Mapping, and leading complex integrations with external systems. You will play a key role in understanding and enhancing current architecture, driving seamless migrations, and enabling future scalability and innovation.
At least 2+ years hands on experience with BMC Atrium CMDB architecture, data model, and IBM TDI Development.
To be Successful in this role you have an active background in integration and orchestration such as flow designer. When required you will have the capability to engage at design & code level.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Analyze current ITOM/CMDB architecture, design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions, and lead migrations from BMC Atrium through IBM TDI to ServiceNow.
Define and execute the migration strategy and roadmap from legacy systems/applications to ServiceNow.
Architect, develop, and optimize ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB, ensuring robust Discovery and Service Mapping processes for accurate CI population.
Lead integration solutions using MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, Service Graph Connectors, JDBC, and IntegrationHub ETL.
Collaborate with third-party application admins to understand business processes and requirements for seamless data migration and integration.
Understand and have knowledge on Development, configuration, and maintain BMC Atrium CMDB, including dataset management, class modifications, normalization/reconciliation rules, and CI data quality.
Work with IBM TDI: design and implement assembly lines, connectors, data flows, error handling, and log analysis for data migration and integration.
Develop automation, orchestration, and process enhancements leveraging Flow Designer, Custom Application Development, Process Automation and Ensure secure data transfer, transformation scripting, and thorough post-migration data validation and reconciliation.
Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow application, BMC Atrium, and TDI related issues, and module issues, providing expert guidance and support to end users.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and performance management coaching to team members and Guide technical implementation, promote reuse and scaling of components, and eliminate technical debt leveraging GenAI where appropriate.
Stay current with ServiceNow releases and best practices, leveraging new features to improve and future-proof solutions.
Adhere to ServiceNow development standards and best practices, ensuring high-quality, high-performance deliverables and create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for broader team enablement.
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Design, development, configuration, and Implementation (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery) and 4+ years in architectural roles involving design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.
Proven expertise in migration from BMC Atrium (via IBM TDI) or other third-party systems into ServiceNow.
Deep experience in integrations: MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, Service Graph Connector and JDBC.
Proficiency with Flow Designer, UI Builder, Orchestration, Custom Application Development, Process Automation, ITSM Suite.
Strong background with Import Sets, Transform Map, Table API, Robust Transform Engine, IntegrationHub ETL.
Solid deployment and upgrade experience with ServiceNow.
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, GlideAPI, ServiceNow Scripting, and ITIL processes.
Expertise in both client-side and server-side scripting, business rules, workflow development, and runbook automation.
Experience reusing and scaling components for future growth, with a focus on code quality and maintainability.
Working knowledge of web-based application architectures and interfaces.
Bonus: Experience with Jelly script/HTML, AngularJS, TM Forum Open APIs.
Preferred Skills:
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with Service Mapping, Event Management, Asset Management.
Familiarity with additional ITOM/ITAM modules in ServiceNow.
