Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems while having the opportunity to remain in a hands-on engineering role.

\xc2\xb7 Provide functional and technical leadership and mentor junior software engineers.

\xc2\xb7 Work with other Lead Engineers, Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to identify technical and functional needs of systems based on priority.

\xc2\xb7 Writing great quality code with a relentless passion for automated testing and validation.

\xc2\xb7 Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change, automation, configuration management and compliance.

\xc2\xb7 Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment and production support.

\xc2\xb7 Implement, maintain and update CICD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 8+ years related experience with a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

\xc2\xb7 6+ years of progressive experience in one or more of the following areas: application delivery; subject matter expertise in building Java-based high-volume/high-transaction applications

\xc2\xb7 6+ years of experience building web applications using Java, Spring and REST

Preferred Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 4+ years of experience in architecture and design of systems using Microservices architecture

\xc2\xb7 4+ years of experience in a leadership capacity - coaching and mentoring junior engineers

\xc2\xb7 2+ years of experience in any cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef or Terraform

\xc2\xb7 2+ years of experience in build and CICD technologies: GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar

\xc2\xb7 4+ years of experience in Unit and Function testing using Junit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI or Postman

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Unix/Linux command line

\xc2\xb7 Expert knowledge and experience working with asynchronous message processing, stream processing and event driven computing.

\xc2\xb7 Experience working within Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS3

\xc2\xb7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders
