Summary

The Senior Spa Therapist leads by example in delivering world-class spa treatments, mentoring junior therapists, and assisting in the smooth day-to-day operations of the spa. This role combines advanced technical expertise, exceptional guest service skills, and team leadership to maintain the high standards expected of a 5-star luxury property.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Excellence

Provide premium, personalized spa treatments to high-profile and VIP guests. Conduct thorough consultations to assess guest needs and recommend bespoke treatments. Ensure exceptional levels of guest comfort, discretion, and satisfaction throughout their spa journey. Handle special requests or guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.

Advanced Treatment Delivery & Expertise

Perform a full range of specialized therapies (massage, facials, holistic wellness, body scrubs/wraps). Maintain expertise in luxury spa techniques, international wellness trends, and high-end product lines. Train and mentor junior therapists in treatment protocols, guest service, and professional grooming. Ensure treatment customization to deliver an unforgettable experience for repeat guests.

Operational & Team Support

Assist the Spa Manager in daily operations, therapist scheduling, and resource allocation. Conduct regular treatment audits to maintain brand and quality standards. Provide on-the-job training, refresher sessions, and guidance for new spa team members. Maintain detailed guest records for service personalization and future recommendations.

Hygiene, Standards & Compliance

Ensure that treatment rooms and spa facilities meet 5-star cleanliness and presentation standards. Monitor therapists' adherence to hygiene protocols, safety guidelines, and spa SOPs. Support in maintaining inventory levels and assist with stock management as needed.

Sales & Revenue Contribution

Lead by example in achieving individual and team retail sales and treatment revenue targets. Promote high-value spa packages, memberships, and premium products to enhance guest experience.

Employer Requirements

Education/Certification:

Diploma or certification in Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy, or Holistic Wellness. Additional certifications in specialized techniques (Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, Thai, Reflexology, etc.) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 4-6 years of luxury spa or hotel experience, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or lead therapist role.

Skills & Competencies:

Mastery of multiple massage and wellness modalities. Strong mentoring and leadership abilities. Excellent communication and guest service skills with fluency in English (other languages are an advantage). Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in high-pressure or VIP service situations.

Personal Qualities:

Professional demeanor, high personal grooming standards, and cultural sensitivity. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
