Overview

As an Azure Infra / Migrate & Modernize Solution Engineer (SE), you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprises unlock the full potential of Microsoft's Azure Infra, Networking & Security solutions along with Migration to Azure, VMs & Database Migrations, VMs to AKS & other Paas Services. You'll collaborate closely with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate the Azure Infra, AKS, Network, Storage portfolio, other solutions like Database Migrations, Migration methodologies, 3rd party ISV solutions, through hands-on engagements like Proof of Concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops. You'll guide customers through secure, scalable solution design, influence technical decisions, and accelerate database and analytics migration into their deployment workflows. Qualifications

15+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience 12+ years' experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructure, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management Proficient on cloud, hyperscale, hybrid, Various Infra platforms, Azure Infra, Migration, Containers Paas services, Databases, DB modernization, VM modernization & migration to cloud, Network, connectivity, security, benchmarking, performance optimization etc.

12+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 12+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 10+ year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience Expert on Azure migration & modernization and creating new apps. Proven ability to lead technical engagements (e.g., hackathons, PoCs, MVPs) that drive production-scale outcomes.

Responsibilities

Drive technical conversations with decision makers using demos and PoCs to influence solution design and enable production deployments. Conduct design reviews, architecture discussions, solve for various customer deployment designs around network, connectivity, security, selection of right Azure resources & services, validate customers design, help in troubleshooting etc. Lead hands-on engagements--hackathons and architecture workshops--to accelerate adoption of Microsoft's cloud platforms. Build trusted relationships with platform leads, co-designing secure, scalable architectures and solutions Resolve technical blockers and objections, collaborating with engineers to share insights and improve products. Maintain deep expertise in Overall Azure portfolio with emphasis on Azure Infra, Security, AKS, Containers, storage, Monitoring tools, Networking technologies & options, connectivity, Migration methodologies, basics of Database & Database Migrations, Virtual Desktops, assessments, availability of tools & accelerators Maintain and grow expertise in competing solutions, other clouds, on premise technologies to support competition wins & discussions. Needs to pick up new technologies, adjacent technologies like analytics, AI, AI Infused apps etc. Represent Microsoft through thought leadership in cloud Hyperscale, cloud Infra, Migration & Modernization, containers & OSS communities and customer forums
