General role description:

As a Senior Systems Engineer for Sabre, provides systems and application configuration and hands-on administration for Windows-based operating systems delivered via Citrix in a 24/7, highly available environments, including installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining proprietary Citrix technologies, MS Operating systems, MS Applications and diagnose, resolve, and document all Citrix-related issues. * Responsible for evaluating, installing, configuring, and deploying Citrix XenApp solutions, software, and/or enhancements to the existing XenApp application delivery platform throughout the enterprise. Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of business systems integrated with the Citrix XenApp application delivery platform.

• Develops, implements, and maintains guidelines, procedures, and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
• Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations. Continue professional development through attendance at meetings, professional seminars, and conferences.

• Work on a wide range of technologies including different Web servers, databases, operating systems, and application virtualization with Citrix, among others.
• Second-level technical operational support for Leveraged applications.
• Admin, configure, and operate the tools used to monitor system performance.
• Plan software installation/updates, operating systems patching, and software packages deployment, in accordance with the policies and procedures established by Sabre IT Governance.
• Coordinate and review the activities that are delegated to our third-party partners.
• Good planning and organizational skills, capable of supporting planned timelines activities.
• Perform routine audits on applications and operating systems to ensure compliance with the standards, guidelines, and policies of the company.
• Develop and maintain a complete documentation of applications/systems configuration and internal procedures.
• Work according to the standard operating procedures defined by Sabre.
• Handle small-scale projects with minimum supervision.
• Frequent interaction with other Sabre teams like Software Architects, Systems Engineers, Applications developers, and customer care.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions that help to improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in the rotational On Call phone support.

Technical Qualifications

Requirements: * 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 Experience as a Sr. Engineer on large-scale Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.x deployments

• 3+ years of experience with Citrix technologies XenApp, XenDesktop, MCS, Storefront, OS/App layering, NetScaler ADC/ADM
• Responsible for identifying and solving technical issues related to the Citrix SaaS solution, which, in addition to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops can include OS-level troubleshooting, webserver, database server, applications server, DNS, or other software issues.
• - Highly proficient with XenApp and XenDesktop 7.15 LTSR and previous versions

Valued: * AWS and GCP Solution Architect certifications are highly recommended.

• SRE experience is highly recommended.
• Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and NetScaler certifications are highly recommended.
• Active Directory and Group Policies
• PowerShell Scripting
• Zabbix, ActiveMQ, MQ, Oracle databases, F5, ServiceNow, and app dynamics.
• Familiarity with ITIL, change, problem, and incident management processes

• General networking experience
